I must admit I hadn't heard of George Lois until a friend referred me to the book ‘Damn Good Advice’. I'd bet, just like me, my friend didn’t know the author either. It was when my friend skimmed through the book that he realized I might find it interesting.
George Lois, I've come to realize from reading the book, is an icon in advertising.
And it isn't hard to see why.
The book comes, often as good things do, as a small package — it has illustrations and simple, easy to read, prose but still easily serves as a source of daily inspirational reference.
The author shares his experience, the principles he maintained in his practice and most of all where he didn’t compromise.
He explains how his decisions are based on conviction and outlines his approach to solid ideas.
The author champions that advertising and public relations must work hand-in-hand to achieve the desired results.
This is useful material for any who are active in Advertising, Communications and public Relations.
One of my favorite hero on Magazine cover.
